Xtra Happy Beautiful album that's as optimistic as it is tragic. Ambient reminiscent mid-80's synths play throughout and give you that hazy yet energetic feel. The sights, the sounds, the atmosphere...all suddenly marred by the vocal sample and harsh tones in the title track, which brings a striking moment of realisation as to the area's fate in a decades time, before throwing you back to the halcyon vibes the rest of the album carries for the last two tracks. It's rare something clicks with me this fast. Favorite track: Winter Games.

Prologue: The setting is Sarajevo in the winter of 1984. The excitement and fanfare of the Olympic games comes to the cultural mecca of Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina) With an event unlike anything they'd ever seen, this was truly a time of cultural coexistence in Sarajevo, full of fond memories and celebration for it's people.

Most notably, this was the Olympic games that Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean won the gold medal for Great Britain, receiving twelve perfect scores for artistic impression in the free dance segment of the ice dance competition, a feat that was never matched.

This album is inspired by the events from February 8th - 19th of 1984. It pays homage to it's people, the athletes that competed, and aesthetics and design of the XIV Winter Olympic Games.
